Job summary

Insite Finance is seeking an OMB Director in Cardiff to take ownership of a substantial owner-managed business (OMB) portfolio and help shape the firm’s next growth phase. This relationship-led role sits alongside an Audit and Accounts Director, balancing technical excellence with strong advisers’ judgment for owner-managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in owner-managed businesses and OMB portfolios.
• Strong technical accounting capability with business advisory skills.
• Proven ability to build client relationships with business owners.
• Experience advising owner-managers and leadership teams.
• Ability to identify new OMB work from existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a senior adviser to owner-managers and their leadership teams.
• Taking responsibility for a significant OMB portfolio.
• Leading complex accounts and business advisory assignments for owner-managed clients.
• Handling technical accounting questions that fall outside routine compliance.
• Meeting clients regularly and building strong personal relationships with business owners.
• Helping identify new OMB work from existing and prospective clients.
• Coaching managers and supporting succession across the OMB team.
• Working closely with the wider leadership group on OMB growth strategy.
