Job summary

Growthnext Stepsat is seeking an Offsite Standardisation Manager with an electrical/mechanical bias to lead the development, adoption and embedding of standardised offsite products across our business.

Based in Leeds (open to other locations), you will collaborate with central technical, offsite manufacturing, design, estimating and project delivery teams to ensure products are designed into projects, BIM libraries are updated and on-site delivery is consistently aligned with the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mechanical/electrical building services.
• Background in offsite manufacturing, DFMA, or standardisation within construction/MEP.
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with BIM processes and digital engineering (Revit libraries, data structures).
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, costing, and programme impacts.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety Leadership: Champion a safety-first culture in all activities.
• Product Development: Identify and continuously improve standardised offsite products in collaboration with project teams.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure products align with business strategy and sector needs, establishing a structured product roadmap.
• Design Collaboration: Work with internal and external designers to incorporate standardised products into designs.
• Innovative Thinking: Promote design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) principles and challenge traditional design approaches.
• BIM Coordination: Maintain standardised products within the Revit library with the BIM team.
• Tender Solutions: Include standardised products in tender solutions and cost models.
• Project Support: Assist project teams in adopting standardised products and addressing implementation barriers.
• Feedback Loop: Capture learnings and expand the product suite.
• Market Awareness: Monitor trends and technologies to enhance offerings.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships to support product development and adoption.
