Job summary

SeAH Wind in Middlesbrough is hiring a skilled Seam Miller to join our production team at a state-of-the-art facility. You will mill weld seams on monopile components, using fixed and portable milling machines to meet engineering specs and quality standards.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work 40 hours per week on day shifts with a starting rate of £19.07 per hour plus travel/shift allowances, with future rotation to include nights and additional allowances as patterns are

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in heavy engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience operating milling machines or similar production equipment.
• Ability to use measuring equipment for quality control checks.
• Experience using overhead cranes.
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed and portable milling machines to mill weld seams to spec.
• Lift and position cans, cones and milling equipment using overhead cranes.
• Set up milling equipment and adjust tooling to required depths.
• Carry out grinding and prep work ahead of milling operations.
• Inspect and replace cutting tips and consumables as needed.
• Record milling depths and maintain production documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Identify equipment faults and report safety concerns.
