Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Welding Inspector for a major offshore wind farm developer based in Germany. The role covers surveillance of steelwork, witnessing inspection points per ITP, and reviewing as-built documentation. You will report inspections and follow up on open topics and NCRs.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree or mechanical diploma, with 5 years in steel processing and corrosion protection or welding. IWE certification and level 2 NDT qualification are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical diploma in mechanical is desirable.
• 5 years experience in steel processing with background of corrosion protection or welding works.
• Welding Engineer certification (IWE) or equivalent compliant with ISO 14731.
• Qualification as NDT inspector level 2 for visual inspection, Ultrasounds and Phase Array Ultrasound, as per ISO 9712 (preferable).

Responsibilities

• Surveillance of the complete steelwork manufacturing process until release for coating.
• Witness of Inspection points according to ITP.
• Review on As Built documentation.
• Reporting of Inspection.
• Follow-up on open topics and NCRs.
