Belcan is seeking an experienced Welding & Coating Inspector for a major renewable energy project in Billingham, Teesside. The role requires monitoring welding and coating work to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards on an offshore wind program.

You will act as the client representative, witness inspections, review qualifications, and manage nonconformities while ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and project requirements. The contract is onsite with a 50-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in welding and/or coating inspection.
• Experience on renewable energy projects preferred (offshore wind).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, MRBs, and QA documentation.

Responsabilités

• Welding and coating activities monitored to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Act as client representative for welding, fabrication, and coating disciplines.
• Witness Hold Points, Review Points, and Inspection Points.
• Review welder/painter and NDE qualifications for compliance.
• Raise and manage NCRs and nonconformities as needed.
• Ensure adherence to approved procedures, specs and engineering requirements.
• Perform material traceability and surveillance inspections.
• Witness weld procedure qualifications and NDT activities.
• Review MRBs and quality documentation for completeness.
