Job summary

OEG is seeking a Statutory Inspection Technician – Team Lead to join our Topside Division in Grimsby. The role involves leading offshore statutory inspection work scopes on wind project assets, mobilising teams and ensuring safe, compliant delivery on site.

You will manage tooling, reporting, and safety processes, supervise technicians, and act as client liaison for daily progress and planning, with offshore/offshore rotation as required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting software such as Motion Kinetic.
• Ability to prioritise and organise tasks effectively.
• Good understanding of LOLER, PUWER, PSSR and Fire Safety Regulations.
• Relevant vocational training; apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline desirable.
• LEEA Foundation – working towards LEEA General desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mobilise statutory inspection work scopes on offshore wind projects.
• Manage project tooling, equipment, and consumables.
• Daily reporting and site checklists.
• Ensure safe systems of work per OEG Renewables standards.
• Supervise and develop offshore teams.
• Liaise with client on progress and planning.
• Ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER inspections.
• Maintain quality and safety documentation.
• Manage electrical and mechanical equipment certificates.
