Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant – Offshore Consents Manager to lead post-consent environmental compliance on major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will drive consent management, liaise with regulators, manage multidisciplinary teams, and deliver compliant construction outcomes.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to business growth, and ensure alignment with regulatory obligations across offshore wind, subsea, and renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental consent management and post-consent compliance on offshore infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Planning, Geography, Ecology, Engineering, Law, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of UK marine planning and consenting regimes (DCOs, Electricity Act, and licensing).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver offshore consents manager roles from consent through construction.
• Develop consent management and compliance strategies to reduce risk.
• Maintain comprehensive consents, commitments, and obligations registers.
• Oversee consent compliance processes and ensure commitments are fulfilled.
• Coordinate discharge of requirements and planning conditions submissions.
• Mentor junior team members and support business development.
