WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an HV Cable Engineer within the Offshore Engineering Team. You will apply technical knowledge to support HVAC and HVDC cable design from concept through to detailed design, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

The role offers exposure to offshore wind projects, design assurance, and potential site/ witnessing activities. Hybrid working and development opportunities are available.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in offshore cable engineering or marine renewables desirable.
• HVDC project design and ratings knowledge (onshore/offshore).
• Strong knowledge of submarine cable systems and installation methods.

Responsabilidades

• Apply HVAC inter-array and export cable design knowledge; support ratings and studies.
• Develop cable system designs with conductors, insulation, armour and protection.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Prepare calculations, reports and design records per project procedures.
• Assist in delivery through Concept to detailed design stages, and support on-site activities as needed.
