WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an HV Cable Engineer within its Offshore Engineering Team. You will deliver cable design tasks for HVAC and HVDC systems, from concept through detailed design, with opportunities to grow within the Subsea Engineering Team.

You will work in a client-facing role, coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers to ensure safe, high-quality project delivery while contributing to proposals and engineering improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline (Electrical/Power).
• Prior experience in offshore cable engineering, marine renewables, or oil & gas is desirable.
• Desirable HVDC projects onshore/offshore; HV cable design and ratings (CYMCAP).
• Strong knowledge of submarine cable systems, design and installation methods.

Responsabilidades

• Apply HVAC inter-array and export cable design knowledge to support sizing, design basis, reports, and rating studies.
• Develop cable system designs and specifications for conductors, insulation, sheaths, armour, and protections.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients and suppliers to gather inputs and manage progress.
• Deliver tasks per programme, budget, quality requirements, and maintain design records.
