Job summary

Gattaca is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering and offshore projects in the Basildon area. You will drive end-to-end planning, mobilisations, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, and offshore activities.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience within an engineering, offshore, energy, manufacturing, or related technical environment.
• Experience managing complex equipment projects, including modification, testing, mobilisation, and demobilisation activities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical handling equipment and associated project delivery requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, develop project plans, and coordinate project execution activities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience motivating teams and building effective working relationships.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple medium and large-scale projects, ensuring contractual, technical, commercial, and operational objectives are achieved.
• Develop project plans, resource requirements, schedules, and delivery timelines while proactively managing risks, priorities, and key milestones.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, equipment mobilisation, testing, logistics, and offshore support activities to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, technical specifications, and project tracking systems.
• Provide regular project updates and ensure accurate reporting of progress, risks, and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through project reviews, lessons learned, and customer feedback.
