Job summary

Gattaca is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale engineering and offshore projects in the UK. You will develop plans, manage risks, coordinate engineering, manufacturing, testing, and offshore activities to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget delivery.

You will steer budgets, invoicing, forecasting, and governance, while building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in engineering/offshore environments.
• Experience managing complex equipment projects including modification, testing, mobilisation, demobilisation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical handling equipment and project delivery requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specs, develop project plans and coordinate execution.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate teams and build relationships.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Project Management certification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Experience working offshore.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple medium and large-scale projects across contractual, technical, commercial, and operational objectives.
• Develop project plans, resources, schedules, and timelines while proactively managing risks and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, equipment mobilisation, testing, logistics, and offshore support for seamless execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage budgets, invoicing schedules, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Oversee change control and identify variation opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, procedures, governance, and financial controls.
• Escalate commercial or project risks when needed.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, offshore personnel, and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively to ensure expectations are met throughout the lifecycle.
• Support client meetings, reviews, and ongoing engagement.
• Contribute to tender submissions and technical proposals.
