The Business/Office Manager will ensure our taxi company's smooth and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will contribute to strategizing and implementing plans to drive business growth, enhance service quality, manage compliance, and expand our market share in school transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the daily operations of drivers, ensuring punctuality and professionalism.
  2. Supervise transport coordinators to track driver movements, schedule pick-ups and drop-offs, and arrange emergency cover.
  3. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards, local authorities, and contractual obligations.
  4. Serve as the primary liaison between the company and Surrey County Council, maintaining positive and productive relationships.
  5. Engage with local schools and parents to address concerns and ensure high service standards.
  6. Negotiate and manage contracts with local councils and other stakeholders.
  7. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate records to support licensing authority audits and compliance.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in management or logistics.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship management.
  • Knowledge of local council regulations and school transportation requirements.
