Night Shift Manager - Transport Team, Harlow

We are seeking a highly organised Night Shift Manager to join our Transport team at Harlow. In this role, you will manage drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet the company's KPIs. You will ensure all routes are dispatched efficiently, arrange cover for absences or overloads, and collaborate closely with the Depot Management team to achieve targets.

Responsibilities:

1. Route Management:

• Dispatch routes and arrange cover when necessary.
• Manage route leaving times to meet OTIF targets.
• Complete vehicle sheets with department times and driver details.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded properly.
• Administer the driver app and log information.
• Update relevant spreadsheets with route details.

Team Management:

• Oversee office duties, including data logging and vehicle compliance.
• Manage unloading processes from HGVs to driver vans.
• Maintain the driver register and ensure drivers arrive for shifts.
• Check driver uniforms for compliance.
• Conduct handovers with the Day team, passing all reports and information.
• Manage the Night Office operations, including printing invoices and route assignments.

Health and Safety:

• Enforce health and safety requirements and ensure team compliance with legislation.

Requirements:

• HGV classification and DQC CPC qualification are desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with KPI dashboards.
• Proficiency with GPS and route manifests.
• Experience with paperless deliveries.
• Passion for training and developing team members.
• Organised with attention to detail.
• Flexible, professional, and a team player with a positive attitude.
