I am working exclusively with a well-established and growing business based near Granta Park to recruit an experienced Office Manager / Business Administrator for a key onsite role.

This position will initially provide cover during a planned period of leave, with strong potential to become permanent. The client is open to either a straight permanent hire or a temp-to-perm arrangement, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking long-term stability.

This is a senior, hands-on role at the heart of the organisation, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.

As Office Manager / Business Administrator, you will act as the central hub of the business, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across administration, purchasing, facilities, and office coordination.

You will have real autonomy to take ownership, improve processes, and provide consistency and professionalism across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Office Management & Administration
  • Managing office systems, procedures, SOPs, and general administration
  • Maintaining records, registers, filing systems, and document control
  • Producing and updating works orders, reports, ECNs, and internal documentation
  • Supporting new starter onboarding and inductions
Purchasing & Procurement
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining supplier and order records (Sage experience beneficial)
  • Monitoring deliveries, goods-in/out, and inventory levels
  • Liaising with suppliers and sourcing alternatives to support cost control
Finance Support
  • Processing card and debit payments
  • Liaising with the accounts team on invoices, payments, and reconciliations
Facilities & Health & Safety
  • Managing contractors, service providers, and maintenance activities
  • Supporting Health & Safety documentation, logs, and compliance
Front of House & Customer Experience
  • Greeting visitors and coordinating meeting rooms
  • Ensuring a professional and welcoming reception environment
  • Providing hospitality and handling customer service queries
Logistics & Operations
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments and returns
  • Managing courier communication
  • Maintaining stock of office and packing supplies
Events & Business Support
  • Assisting with internal and external events, meetings, and business activities
  • Supporting cross-departmental projects as required

You will be an experienced Office Manager or Business Administrator who thrives in a varied, onsite role and brings

  • Proven experience in office management or business administration
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with purchasing, stock control, or supplier coordination
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
