Job summary

Precision People in the North East is seeking a Technical Support Engineer who provides remote customer support for specialist machinery. The role is 100% office-based, based near NE36 0PQ, with Monday to Friday day shifts and a strong focus on fault diagnosis, remote assistance and timely customer service.

You will diagnose electrical and system faults, guide customers through troubleshooting, raise quotes for parts and coordinate with field engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience providing remote IT/technical support to customers.
• Strong IT/network background with remote desktop tools.
• Proficient with CRM systems such as Salesforce; good problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day remote support to customers via phone, email and remote access.
• Diagnose faults in laser systems, including software, networking, electrical and hardware issues.
• Guide customers through troubleshooting and resolve problems quickly.
• Raise quotes for parts, servicing and repairs using internal systems.
• Collaborate with field engineers when needed and install software for customers.
• Use Salesforce CRM to manage caseload and ensure efficient service.
