Job Opportunity: Office Administrator

Kenna Recruitment is immediately seeking an experienced Build Administrator to join one of the UK's leading housebuilders.

This role will provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Build Director, Build Managers, and site-based personnel to ensure the department operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Typing all correspondence.
  • Managing complex diaries.
  • Answering and actioning telephone calls, progressing complaints as appropriate.
  • Arranging meetings, rooms, equipment, refreshments, and lunches as required. Greeting visitors at reception and guiding them to the respective meeting rooms.
  • Coordinating department holidays to ensure adequate cover and reporting concerns to the Production Director or Build Managers.
  • Creating and archiving office files.
  • Introducing new and temporary staff to colleagues, providing building tours, and explaining computer and departmental procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Administrative experience within a commercial office environment.
  • Confident in using Xerox copier/scanner, binding machine, plan plotter, and laminator.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to multitask and reprioritize tasks as needed.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and confident demeanor.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.

Experience working with Production/Build teams in home building is preferred.
