Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking an Ocean Pricing Coordinator in Birmingham. You will support the pricing process across ocean freight, negotiating with shipping lines and suppliers, and delivering accurate quotations to customers.

You will maintain pricing data, monitor market rates, and work with internal teams to ensure commercial viability and competitive pricing. The role requires experience in ocean freight or freight forwarding, strong numerical accuracy, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight or freight forwarding, with pricing exposure.
• Knowledge of ocean freight rates and pricing.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience in Ocean Pricing or related commercial roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and negotiate ocean freight rates with carriers and suppliers.
• Prepare and provide accurate quotations to customers.
• Maintain and update pricing and rate information.
• Monitor market rates and identify competitive opportunities.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and commercially viable with internal teams.
• Support customers and account requirements as needed.
• Build strong relationships with carriers, suppliers and customers.
• Maintain pricing data in internal systems.
• Assist with general ocean pricing and related commercial activities.
