WR Logistics is seeking an Ocean Export Coordinator in Salford to manage end-to-end ocean export shipments in a busy freight forwarding operation. The role offers a temporary-to-permanent route with a salary up to £35,000 per year.

You will coordinate bookings, liaise with shipping lines and agents, prepare export docs, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high levels of customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean export or freight forwarding in the UK.
• Solid knowledge of ocean freight export procedures and documentation.
• Familiarity with shipping lines, overseas agents and transport arrangements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational ability to manage multiple shipments in a busy environment.
• Experience using freight forwarding systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking to final destination.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Ocean Export Coordinator to join our client, a well-established freight forwarding business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ocean freight exports who is looking to join a busy, fast-paced operation with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing ocean export shipments from booking through to final destination.
• Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
• Preparing and processing export documentation, including bills of lading.
• Arranging collections, transport and shipping bookings.
• Completing customs entries and ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate.
• Monitoring shipment progress and providing customers with regular updates.
• Handling customer queries and resolving any operational issues.
• Ensuring all shipments comply with relevant international shipping regulations.
• Maintaining accurate shipment records and updating internal systems.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within an ocean export or freight forwarding role based in the UK.
• Good understanding of ocean freight export procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of shipping lines, overseas agents and transport arrangements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
• Experience using freight forwarding systems would be advantageous.
