Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking an Assistant Team Manager - Occupational Therapy to oversee the Front Door duties within Adult Social Care Operations.

You will provide advanced Occupational Therapy practice, supervise staff, manage referrals and ensure timely, strengths‑based responses for residents, while promoting independence and service improvement in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and a recognised OT degree.
• Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care and supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act, applied in practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Front Door Occupational Therapy duty, triage and allocation function.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision and practice oversight to staff.
• Manage a small complex caseload with high-quality assessments and safeguarding work.
• Work with health colleagues and partner agencies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Drive service improvements, promote strengths-based practice and innovation.
