Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours (Mon-Fri)

Role Summary

We are looking for an Occupational Health Screening Nurse to join the Optima team. In this role you will be carrying out immunisations and phlebotomy at a variety of clinics in the private and public sector. In return, we offer an industry-leading training and development program to help you get where you want to go in Occupational Health. If you want to carry out additional training and qualifications or take on a leadership and management responsibility, then we will help support you.

Travel locations include 1 day per week at HMPPS clinic (Isis, Belmarsh or Pentonville), 1-2 days at Old Street (EC1V 9AZ) and 1 day per week at London Ambulance Service (alternating between Dockside and New Malden).

Ad hoc cover locations include: Barking - IG11 9LX, St Charles - W10 6DZ, Edgeware Comm Hosp - HA8 0AD, Lower Clapton Health Centre – E5 0PQ, Wembley Centre for Health - HA0 4UZ and Croydon - CR4 4TP.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Delivering a range of Occupational Health services and clinics for our client, with a focus on immunisations and vaccinations.
  • Advise our clients on current immunisation services and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conducting immunisation health assessments and surveillance, relating to potential exposure to health risks at work.
  • Promoting employee health and wellbeing for our clients and across the wider business.
  • Giving health education on relevant issues, promoting a healthy lifestyle to all employees in order to maximise participation in activities at work and elsewhere.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by sharing knowledge, supporting and challenging your peers.
  • Maintaining registration and continuous professional development by meeting or exceeding standards set by the NMC.
