Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom is seeking an Observability Engineer to design, build and evolve enterprise observability across cloud and hybrid environments, with Dynatrace as our platform of choice. You’ll be equal parts engineer and consultant, delivering end-to-end observability and evangelising its value to engineering, platform, operations and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted adviser on observability strategy and roadmaps.
• Define standards and best practices and drive adoption.
• Provide thought leadership on OpenTelemetry and SRE.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, balance reliability vs delivery pace.
• Champion SRE ways of working and reduce toil.
• Support incident management, RCA and problem management.
• Maximise Dynatrace capabilities across apps, infra and cloud services.
• Translate signals into dashboards, maps and alerts for stakeholders.
• Develop metrics, logs, traces and events strategies, automate monitoring.
