Job summary

La Fosse in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to own and mature its monitoring and telemetry landscape across infrastructure, cloud and applications. You will design dashboards, optimise alerting, support incident resolution and drive operational excellence through data-driven decisions.

Collaborating with Service Delivery, Infrastructure and Engineering, you’ll embed observability standards, improve visibility and enable proactive improvements in a large-scale

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise observability platforms and telemetry workflows.
• Proven ability to design dashboards, alerts and reports that drive action.
• Hands-on experience across infrastructure, cloud and networks in complex environments.
• Strong incident management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional service delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve enterprise-wide observability capabilities.
• Manage and optimise monitoring, telemetry and alerting platforms.
• Develop dashboards and reporting that provide meaningful operational insights.
• Support incident, problem and major incident processes through monitoring and analysis.
• Establish observability standards and best practices across technology teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis and service performance data.
• Support service transitions, embedding observability from day one.
• Act as SME for observability and monitoring technologies.
