Job summary

Peel Ports Group in Birkenhead is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to lead our observability capability, delivering monitoring, telemetry, dashboards and insights that enable proactive service management and continuous improvement across our technology services.

In this role you will design, implement and continuously enhance observability across infrastructure, networks, platforms and applications, ensuring services are measurable, visible and managed with effective telemetry,

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing observability frameworks in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of telemetry principles including metrics, logs and traces.
• Experience across hybrid environments (VMware, Hyper-V, on-prem, Azure, Veeam, dHCI).
• Ability to deliver dashboards, reporting and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the organisation's observability capability across infrastructure, networks, platforms and applications.
• Ensure services are measurable, visible and proactively managed through telemetry, monitoring, alerting and reporting.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery and technical teams to embed observability best practices and provide actionable insights.
