Job summary

You will create a calm, predictable classroom environment, aligned with EHCPs, supporting pupils to develop self-regulation and readiness to re-engage with mainstream learning.

Qualifications

• QTS and active classroom teaching experience in primary SEN.
• Experience delivering nurture or SEN-focused provision in primary.
• Ability to adapt lessons to individual EHCPs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated, inclusive lessons aligned with EHCPs and support plans.
• Create a nurturing learning environment that supports emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Deliver targeted social, emotional and communication interventions.
• Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to promote trust and engagement.
• Monitor progress across academic, social and emotional outcomes and adapt provision accordingly.
• Engage positively with parents/carers, providing clear communication and support.
• Maintain accurate records, assessments and review documentation.
