Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join a welcoming specialist setting in the Trafford area. You will deliver differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs, supporting EHCP targets and collaborative work with TAs, therapists, and families.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have SEN experience, and an understanding of inclusive practice. DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons adapted to pupils' individual needs.
• Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
• Monitor progress and celebrate student achievements.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
• Create a positive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
• Maintain high expectations whilst supporting individual learning journeys.
