Job summary

Domus Recruitment is seeking a Home Manager for a well‑established nursing home in the North‑west. You will lead daily operations, ensure safe, compliant care, and oversee clinical oversight and medication management.

You will build a strong staff team, drive improvements, and implement digital care systems. A PIN (RGN) and proven CQC success are essential; the role offers a supportive owner, a stable culture, and a £65,000 salary with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven nursing home management experience with a track record of achieving and maintaining CQC compliance.
• Strong leadership and the ability to manage and develop teams to deliver improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant operations.
• Maintain CQC compliance and deliver ongoing improvement and environmental action plans.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure residents receive the highest standards of nursing and personal care.
• Oversee safe administration, storage, and recording of medication in line with NMC and CQC standards.
• Build and develop a strong staff team, reducing agency use and improving retention.
• Promote high-quality, person-centred care for all residents.
• Support and guide digital implementation (electronic care planning and medicine management).
• Drive a positive and professional culture within the home.

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, deliver improvements, and sustain compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Longevity and stability in previous management roles.
• Active PIN (RGN)

Desirable

• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
• Experience with digital care systems (care plans and eMAR).
• Strong track record of improving and maintaining “Good” ratings.
