Job summary

Domus Recruitment is assisting a well-established, family-run care provider in England to appoint a Home Manager for a busy residential/nursing home. You will lead daily operations, ensure CQC compliance, and deliver clinical oversight to maintain high standards of nursing and personal care.

With a salary of £60,000 and a full-time 40-hour week, you will oversee staff, drive improvements, and promote a person-centred culture.

Qualifications

• Essential: Home Manager with proven success in achieving and maintaining CQC compliance.
• Essential: Demonstrated ability to manage teams, deliver improvements, and sustain compliance.
• Essential: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Desirable: Nurse-qualified with an active NMC Pin.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent.
• Desirable: Experience with digital care systems (care plans and eMAR).
• Desirable: Strong track record of improving and maintaining “Good” ratings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant operations.
• Maintain CQC compliance and deliver ongoing improvement and environmental action plans.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure residents receive the highest standards of nursing and personal care.
• Oversee and ensure safe administration, storage, and recording of medication, in line with NMC and CQC standards.
• Build and develop a strong, stable staff team, reducing agency use and improving retention.
• Promote high-quality, person-centred care for all residents.
• Support and guide digital implementation (electronic care planning and medicine management).
• Drive a positive and professional culture within the home.
