Job summary

Domus Recruitment is assisting a care provider in Merseyside to recruit a Home Manager for a large home. You will lead the day-to-day operations, ensure safe and compliant care, and provide clinical oversight to residents’ nursing and personal care.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong track record in maintaining CQC ratings and developing staff. The role offers a competitive salary and a supportive, family-style culture.

Qualifications

• Proven larger home management and operational leadership track record.
• Nurse-qualified with an active NMC PIN (not required).
• Experience with digital care systems (care plans and eMAR).

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant operations.
• Maintain CQC compliance and deliver ongoing improvement and environmental action plans.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure residents receive the highest standards of nursing and personal care.
• Oversee and ensure safe administration, storage, and recording of medication, in line with NMC and CQC standards.
• Build and develop a strong, stable staff team, reducing agency use and improving retention.
• Promote high-quality, person-centred care for all residents.
• Support and guide digital implementation (electronic care planning and medicine management).
• Drive a positive and professional culture within the home.

Requirements

• Proven Larger home management
• Proven Operational leadership/stakeholder management
• Home Manager with proven success in achieving and maintaining CQC compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, deliver improvements, and sustain compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Longevity and stability in previous management roles.
• Nurse-qualified with an active NMC Pin (Not needed!)
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
• Experience with digital care systems (care plans and eMAR).
• Strong track record of improving and maintaining “Good” ratings.
