Job summary

KIMS Hospital is seeking a Nursing Associate to join our Surgical Nursing Team. You will assist in the day-to-day running of a busy day case list across the patient journey from admission to discharge, focusing on compassionate, high-quality care.

The role requires shift rotation of 37.5 hours per week, covering days, nights and weekends on a rota, with opportunities to develop clinically and professionally within our supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Nursing Associate registration with NMC code of conduct awareness.
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience in clinical settings.
  • Evidence of professional development and governance understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan and deliver patient-centred care.
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Work within a team, supervising junior staff as required.

Salary: £26,500

Shift Times: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, covering days nights and weekends.

Contract: Permanent

KIMS Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a strong and empathetic Nursing Associate to join our dedicated Surgical Nursing Team. As a nursing associate you will assist in the day to day running of a busy day case list for the whole of the patient journey from admission to discharge. You will be absolutely patient focused with collaborative approach to work and a proven desire to deliver healthcare at its very best.

The role will require shift rotation and is for 37.5 hours per week working 12.0 - 12.5 hour shifts covering days and nights Monday - Sunday on a rota basis.

Role Responsibilities Include
  • Assessing, planning and delivering care, based on individual patient and visitor needs
  • Demonstrating good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC Code of Conduct
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care
  • Working within a team, supervising and directing junior staff
  • Demonstrating high standards of integrity and honesty, maintaining patient confidentiality
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Be a strong and empathetic Registered Nursing Associate
  • Have demonstrable post registration experience
  • Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development
  • Be an expert in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with consultants, colleagues and patients
