Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Maidstone invites applications for a Nursing Associate to join our Surgical Nursing Team. The role supports the day-to-day management of a busy day-case list from admission to discharge, with a 37.5-hour week across day/night shifts on a rota.

You will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care, maintain accurate records and collaborate with consultants and junior staff. A strong clinical ethos and commitment to CPD are essential.

Nursing Associate
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £26,500
Shift Times: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Sunday, covering days nights and weekends.

KIMS Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a strong and empathetic Nursing Associate to join our dedicated Surgical Nursing Team. As a nursing associate you will assist in the day to day running of a busy day case list for the whole of the patient journey from admission to discharge. You will be absolutely patient focused with collaborative approach to work and a proven desire to deliver healthcare at its very best. The role will require shift rotation and is for 37.5 hours per week working 12.0 – 12.5 hour shifts covering days and nights Monday – Sunday on a rota basis.

Role Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning and delivering care, based on individual patient and visitor needs
• Demonstrating good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC Code of Conduct
• Maintaining accurate records of patient care
• Working within a team, supervising and directing junior staff
• Demonstrating high standards of integrity and honesty, maintaining patient confidentiality

The successful candidate will:

• Be a strong and empathetic Registered Nursing Associate
• Have demonstrable post registration experience
• Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development
• Be an expert in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with consultants, colleagues and patients
