Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a nursery setting within a welcoming primary school in Solihull. The role is full-time, starting ASAP and ongoing until December half term, based in Tanworth-in-Arden, Solihull.

You will support learning in the Nursery, assist pupils including those with SEN, help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom, and collaborate with TA colleagues and the Class Teacher on planning and day-to-day routines.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Previous UK school experience essential.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, Reception and KS1 frameworks.
• Knowledge of KS2 transition support beneficial.
• Experience working in nursery or early years settings as a Nursery Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Working with individuals and small groups to support learning.
• Providing additional support to pupils with SEN when required.
• Helping pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons.
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development.
• Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with TA colleagues to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support the Class Teacher in planning, assessment and day-to-day classroom routines.
• Provide care and learning support within nursery and 2-year-old provision settings.
