Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Nursery Practitioners for flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles across EX16, Tiverton and surrounding areas of Devon. Immediate start available for Level 2/3 qualified candidates.

Roles involve supporting children’s learning through play, following EYFS guidelines, and working across multiple nurseries. Driving is desirable and shifts vary in duration.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
• Previous experience in nursery or Early Years setting
• Ability to drive and reliably commute to settings across EX16 and surrounding areas
• Good knowledge of EYFS framework
• Caring, enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Confidence supporting children from babies to preschool age
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt to different nursery environments
• Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Supporting children's learning and development through creative, play-based activities
• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Supporting daily routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care
• Encouraging children's independence, confidence and communication
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery staff
• Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS guidelines
• Working collaboratively with nursery teams to provide high-quality childcare

Pay: £14.25 £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of welcoming nurseries and Early Years settings across EX16, Tiverton and surrounding areas of Devon.

We are currently recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners who are passionate about Early Years education and available for an immediate start.

Whether you're looking for occasional shifts, regular weekly work or longer-term opportunities, we have a variety of placements available to suit your availability.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
