Job summary

Kido is seeking a Nursery Room Leader in the Blackwater area to drive day-to-day activities and nurture a caring learning environment for young children. You will act as a values ambassador and lead a dedicated team to deliver outstanding early years experiences.

You will mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure safeguarding and high-quality teaching. A Level 3 childcare qualification and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 childcare qualification and experience in Early Years management.
• Level 2 Maths and English functional skills if Level 3 obtained after 2014.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team with day-to-day activities and communicate to team members and parents.
• Be a positive role model, inspiring outstanding teaching and learning daily.
• Lead your team’s performance reviews with supportive feedback and SMART goals.
• Collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise child safety.
• Lead an ambitious curriculum to drive outstanding education delivery.
• Ensure the key person approach with buddy key person in the room.
• Pursue continued professional development and encourage your team to grow.
