Job summary

Kido is hiring a Deputy Room Leader at Blackwater - Hawley Green, Blackwater, GU17 9BS. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a salary of £27,000–£30,000 per year.

You will work closely with the Room Leader to maintain high standards of care and education and support safeguarding and curriculum development. Ideal candidates hold a Level 2/3 childcare qualification and English qualifications at Level 2.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2/3 minimum.
• Level 2 qualifications in English including functional skills are required if a Level 3 qualification was obtained after 2014.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Room Leader to ensure smooth day-to-day activities and communicate key information to the team and parents.
• Be a positive role model, inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day.
• Support performance reviews by giving feedback, setting SMART goals, and encouraging growth.
• Work closely with Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise child safety and welfare.
• Support leading an ambitious curriculum to ensure outstanding education delivery in your room.
• Ensure the key person approach is embedded with a buddy key person for every child.
