Job summary

St. George's Nursery is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to support and guide your team, working closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to ensure the room runs smoothly each day.

You will maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding, creating a positive environment where children and staff thrive. A Level 3 Early Years qualification and 3+ years in childcare are required; management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Strong EYFS knowledge and ability to maintain development records.
• DBS check (enhanced) and references are required.
• Childcare experience: 3+ years.
• Management experience preferred but not essential.

About you

This is the perfect first step into nursery leadership. As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll support and guide your team, work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager, and help ensure the room runs smoothly each day. You’ll play an important part in maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding, while helping to create a positive environment where both children and staff can thrive. Your Role

As Nursery Room Leader, you will:

• Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members.
• Support all staff and promote a good staff team.
• Lead a small team in your room to provide an exceptional level of childcare.
• supported by the nursery management team.
• Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to.
• Keeping records of children's progress, routines, and interests.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children's development records.
• We are committed to safeguarding children, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
• Childcare experience: 3 years+ (Required)
• Management experience: (Preferred but not essential)
