Job summary

St. George’s Nursery, Hamilton, is seeking an experienced Room Leader to create an inspiring learning environment and lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and education.

You will oversee daily operations, plan engaging activities, mentor colleagues and build strong relationships with children and families, ensuring safeguarding and health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting.
• Experience leading a room or mentoring colleagues is desirable.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding care and education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of your room.
• Planning and delivering engaging learning experiences that support children’s development.
• Supporting, motivating and mentoring team members.
• Building strong relationships with children and families.
• Monitoring children’s progress and maintaining high-quality observations and assessments.

About the Role

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating an inspiring learning environment while supporting and guiding your team to deliver the highest standards of care and education.

What We’re Looking For
