Job summary

The Learning Experience in East Finchley is seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our high‑quality early years setting. You will plan and deliver activities that support children’s development, provide a safe, nurturing EYFS environment, and monitor milestones while building strong relationships with families.

This full‑time role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, prior room leadership experience, and solid EYFS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Full & relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification – essential.
• Experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as Room Leader or similar.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities that meet children’s developmental needs.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards.
• Monitor, record, and celebrate milestones in children’s development.
• Communicate effectively with families to build strong relationships.
• Lead and support colleagues to maintain high-quality care and learning.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.

Nursery Room Leader – East Finchley

Salary: Up to £34,778 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: East Finchley, London

About You

• Full & relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification – essential
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator)
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education
• A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care
