Job summary

Busy Bees, the UK's leading nursery group, is seeking a Room Leader in Huntingdon to oversee multiple rooms, inspire a team, and ensure educational strategies are integrated across the centre. You will lead planning of age-appropriate activities, support learning and wellbeing, take on Key Person duties, and foster strong partnerships with families in a vibrant, award-winning workplace.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years required or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising in an early years setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about child development and building positive relationships with families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for children.
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
  • Oversee development and wellbeing of children, with progress shared with parents.
  • Act as Key Person for a group of children and support their holistic development.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met and a clean, secure environment is maintained.

Join our friendly team at Busy Bees in Huntingdon, an Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 100 children. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.

  • Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.
Required Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate:
  • Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
