Job summary

Busy Bees Bexleyheath is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and drive the Bee Curious curriculum. You will inspire and coach your team, ensuring high standards of care and learning while partnering with families on child development.

The role emphasizes leadership, room management and a commitment to delivering engaging, safe experiences for children in our Good-rated nursery.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 or higher in Early Years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory duties preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities across your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and support a high-performing team through collaborative leadership.
• Monitor child development and communicate progress with families.
• Act as Key Person for a group of children and their care needs.

Role Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Required Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
