Job summary

GSL Education invites a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Trafford Nurseries team in Trafford. You will nurture young children, provide a safe, engaging environment, and support their learning and development in line with EYFS.

The role involves acting as a Key Person, planning activities, and maintaining strong parent communication while upholding safeguarding and well-being standards. The position is full-time or part-time on a temporary basis with rota-based hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in an early years setting with ages 0-5.
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding.
• Enthusiastic, creative, empathetic and a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children and track development.
• Plan and lead creative activities aligned with EYFS curriculum.
• Communicate with parents/carers on a daily basis.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and emotional well-being.

Job description

Location: Trafford.

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time Temporary.

Hours: ~40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, rotas between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

Salary: £14.25 - 16.83 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Nursery team in Trafford Nurseries. In this role, you will help create a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment where young children can learn, play, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking their individual development and milestones.
• Plan and lead creative, engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Foster strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers through clear daily communication.
• Ensure high standards of child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and emotional well-being at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: Full and relevant Level 2+ NVQ/Diploma in Early Years or Childcare equivalent.
• Experience: Experience working in an early years setting with ages 0-5.
• Knowledge: Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Attributes: Enthusiastic, creative, empathetic, and a fantastic team player.
