Job summary

GSL Education in Stockport/Tameside is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join the nursery team, supporting children aged 0-5 and promoting a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The role involves acting as a Key Person, planning EYFS-aligned activities, and building strong partnerships with parents. A DBS check and relevant qualifications are required, with a flexible schedule in a temporary capacity.

Job description

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Stockport / Tameside.

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time Temporary

Hours: ~40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, rotas between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

Salary: £14.25 - 16.83 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Nursery team in Stockport / Tameside Nurseries. In this role, you will help create a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment where young children can learn, play, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking their individual development and milestones.

• Plan and lead creative, engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

• Foster strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers through clear daily communication.

• Ensure high standards of child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and emotional well-being at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: Full and relevant Level 2+ NVQ/Diploma in Early Years or Childcare equivalent.

• Experience: Experience working in an early years setting with ages 0-5.

• Knowledge: Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
