Job summary

TEJ Education in Streatham, South London, is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a busy nursery group. You will oversee daily operations, support staff development and ensure high standards of care and education in line with EYFS and Ofsted expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and excellent communication with parents and carers to maintain a nurturing environment for children. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Streatham.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Early Years leader.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and readiness for inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
  • Motivate, manage and develop the Early Years team.
  • Maintain high standards across EYFS.
  • Support safeguarding, health & safety and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
  • Support staff development, supervision and training.

Nursery Manager - Streatham

Full Time | Permanent

TEJ Education is recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager for a well-established nursery group in Streatham, South London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is confident leading a nursery team, maintaining high standards of care and education and supporting the continued development of a busy nursery setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading and supporting staff and ensuring children receive a safe, nurturing and stimulating Early Years experience.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the nursery
  • Managing, motivating and developing the Early Years team
  • Maintaining high standards across the EYFS
  • Supporting safeguarding, health & safety and compliance requirements
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Supporting staff development, supervision and training
  • Maintaining excellent standards in preparation for Ofsted
  • Ensuring occupancy, staffing and nursery operations are effectively managed
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has previous Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Early Years leadership experience
  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS
  • Has good knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
  • Is confident managing and developing a team
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
