Job summary

TEJ Education is recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager for a well-established nursery group in Tooting, South West London. The role leads daily operations, develops the EY team and ensures high standards of care and education for children.

The successful candidate will oversee safeguarding, health & safety, Ofsted readiness and strong parent/carer relationships, while driving occupancy and compliant nursery operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a nursery or senior EY leadership role.
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher.
  • Strong EYFS knowledge and safeguarding awareness.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
  • Motivate and develop the Early Years team.
  • Maintain high standards across the EYFS.
  • Support safeguarding, health & safety and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
  • Support staff development, supervision and training.
  • Maintain Ofsted readiness and overall occupancy/ staffing.

Nursery Manager - Tooting

Full Time | Permanent

TEJ Education is recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager for a well-established nursery group in Tooting, South West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is confident leading a nursery team, maintaining high standards of care and education and supporting the continued development of a busy nursery setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading and supporting staff and ensuring children receive a safe, nurturing and stimulating Early Years experience.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the nursery
  • Managing, motivating and developing the Early Years team
  • Maintaining high standards across the EYFS
  • Supporting safeguarding, health & safety and compliance requirements
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Supporting staff development, supervision and training
  • Maintaining excellent standards in preparation for Ofsted
  • Ensuring occupancy, staffing and nursery operations are effectively managed
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has previous Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Early Years leadership experience
  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS
  • Has good knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
  • Is confident managing and developing a team
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
