Job summary

Staff Match Limited is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a well-established nursery in Chingford, Greater London. The role also suits a hands-on Deputy Manager aiming to step up.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage budgets, and develop staff, while fostering strong relationships with parents and ensuring EYFS-aligned activities and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare qualification or above is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable).
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations.
• Working closely with the area managing KPI's.
• Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups.
• Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs.
• Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child's individual learning and development.
• Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures.
• Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection.
• Managing Staff Rotas and meetings.
• Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment.
• Marketing the nursery, arranging leaflet drops, open days etc
• To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing inquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate.
• To attend out of working hours' activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents' evenings and special events.
• Working 40 Hours per week

Education

Level 3 Childcare qualification or above

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
