Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an Early Years Assistant for Pontefract and surrounding areas. Start date is immediate. Salary is £11 - £13 per hour.

You will support children across private day nurseries, assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and creating a positive and inclusive environment. We are looking for candidates with at least six months of childcare experience, EYFS knowledge, a caring and enthusiastic attitude, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required.

We are looking to appoint Early Years Assistants on a day-to-day basis, with permanent opportunities also available. The successful Early Years Assistant will support children across the nurseries, assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Early Years Assistant will have:

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required
