Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant in the Wakefield area for a temporary, immediate-start role. You will support children throughout the nursery, assist with daily routines and promote learning through play in a welcoming setting.

The right candidate will have at least six months in childcare, EYFS knowledge, and a caring, enthusiastic approach with strong communication and teamwork skills. Salary is paid hourly with market-leading rates.

We are looking to appoint Nursery Assistants on a temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children across the nursery's assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required
