Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant for Wakefield and surrounding areas. Immediate start with a temporary assignment.

You will support daily routines and play-based learning across the nursery, helping children learn and thrive in a safe, inclusive setting. The role requires at least six months' childcare experience, knowledge of EYFS, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to assist across different age groups.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months' experience in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.

Salary: £12 - £14 per hour

We are looking to appoint Nursery Assistants on a temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children across the nursery's assisting with daily routines, encouraging learning through play and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A minimum of six months' experience working within a childcare setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• A willingness to support across different age groups where required
