Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an Early Years Assistant in Exeter to support nurseries with flexible, part-time day-to-day and short-term placements. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where children learn through play.

Ideal candidates have experience in Early Years settings and can adapt across rooms and age groups. Paediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential; a caring, empathetic and flexible attitude is valued. PAYE payroll and supportive onboarding are provided.

Job Title: Early Years Assistant Location: Exeter Start Date: ASAP Salary: £14-£16 per hour

The successful Early Years Assistant will work within welcoming nursery environments, helping to create a safe, positive and engaging setting where children can learn, play and develop.

We are looking for an Early Years Assistant for flexible, part-time, day-to-day and short-term work, supporting children across all Early Years age groups. The Early Years Assistant will be expected to adapt confidently between rooms, support children's learning and development, and provide an empathetic and nurturing approach throughout the day.

The successful Early Years Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children within an Early Years or nursery setting
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential
• The ability to work flexibly across different Early Years rooms and age groups
• A caring and empathetic approach
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
