Job summary

Maximus UK is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to support PIP reviews. You will use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions affect daily life, handling complex cases with empathy.

The role includes training, ongoing mentorship, and producing Work Capability Assessment reports for the DWP. Flexible full-time or part-time with hybrid working, you’ll join a team dedicated to quality and impact.

Qualifications

• NMC registration required.
• At least 1 year post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – sponsorships not available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand impact on daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the DWP.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
