Job summary

Maximus is hiring a Nurse Functional Assessor in a hybrid role in the UK. You will perform clinical reviews, produce WCA reports for DWP, and provide guidance to case managers on complaints and enquiries related to PIP referrals.

The role includes six weeks of initial training and ongoing mentorship to support professional growth. Requirements include valid NMC registration, 1 year post-registration experience in adult or mental health, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid NMC registration
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision
